Insects and Angels for clarinet(s) and piano.  The title is taken from the book Insects and Angels by my close friend, AS Byatt. It is to be a suite of pieces alternating between a sonic study of an insect and ‘sound-portrait’ of the three archangels, Michael, Gabriel and Raphael together with the ‘fallen angel’ Lucifer.

The Harp-Weaver. Commissioned by the Harp Department of Guildhall School of Music in London, this is a double-series of pieces designed for young and emergent professional harpists. Part 1 (O Brook Variations), is a series of 12 solo/duets for harp and will be rehearsed and performed by the student and the harp professor. Part 2 (The Harp-Weaver), is to be a series of 12 duos for harp and another orchestral instrument. Part 1 will be premiered early in 2009 and Part 2 in 2010.
